Updating? What's that!

I Know I need to update my blog! I also need to fold my clothes on my bed, or wash the blankets the baby just threw up on, or put away the dishes I washed after dinner, or sweep the crumbs from under the table...etc.... but instead I played chutes and ladders with my family. I put my son to bed, I am going to go feed the baby and hopefully get him comfortable enough to sleep for a while, then after putting the older two kids to bed I will probably throw all the clothes off my bed, turn on "August Rush" and snuggle next to my husband, drifting off to sleep. Only, of course, to be waken up by the baby who is not feeling good. So as to my post....there's always TOMORROW! Or the next day :) Have a good night!

Really, I have had two kids with Strep Throat all week, and a vomitting baby...what kind of stories would I tell anyway!

A Pink Leaf

On the way home from school yesterday, Alleeda informed me that she wanted to be a Leaf.
I asked her why, she said so she can Fly around and change colors, but mostly so there would be happy pink leaves. How cute, watching her little mind work!

*Before school we went to the park to pick leaves to bring to school for her class assigment.

A little "ME" time

My awesome sister told me Merry Christmas about three weeks ago, with a full year membership to a Climbing Gym down the street. The only condition was that we would work out together to get into shape. I am having a BLAST! Tonight, my niece encouraged me to hop off the machines and climb with her. For those who knew me at college, I did climb and hike, so what a treat it was. I will admit after 13 years of not climbing it was a bit intimidating to look down when I was near the top, and I will also admit that I climbed back down a few times as the fear is instilled in you to just "let go" and drop (I chickend out). But after going up and down a few times the excitement came back! What an awesome hour. I am so excited! I can go anytime, rain or shine. The BEST part is that this was the BEST workout EVER! Climbing will have to become a routine...warm up and then climb! SO FUN. Tiff, you are probably SO JEALOUS...you will have to come with us when you are here for the wedding! It will be so fun!
THANK YOU MISSY!

Graditude in my Heart

A BIG thanks goes out to those who have helped me out in a BIG way today! THANK YOU! As someone so wise told me today: Let those who see an opportunity to serve, SERVE. Be grateful for the Service, enjoy the Service that was done, especially if it was done for you. Thank you to those who have helped me today!
THANK YOU!

My big HELPER!

I was driving home from Target today...diapers again?!....and as I turned the rather large corner, maybe a bit faster than normal I hear a boom, boom, boom...loud crying and Matthew screaming.."JONATHAN, BABY JONATHAN, BABY JONATHAN", the bus behind me must have been frustrated as I slowed WAY down in the street, after turning my head back to see what the noise was all about. Apparently Matthew thought he was helping, when we got to Target today, as he unbuckled the baby. Little did I realize that he had UNBUCKLED the base of the Car Seat; until I stopped the car to find the baby, the car seat and the base all flipped upside down in the car. Jonathan went for a safe little ride...and so cute when I flipped him back over, smiling and laughing at me...probably thinking, 'what's all the fuss mom, I am still buckled in'. It was reassuring to see that if a carseat flips a couple of times at 40mph that the baby...even though scared, still comes out smiling. (I know too many personal friends go through major accidents so hopefully that is all the flips or testing of a carseat we will ever go through.) When we got home from getting Alleeda from school today I actually saw Matthew unbuckle Jonathan's carseat, my little culpriet, I mean my BIG HELPER!
