So much to tell....

Hello Again! Where has the past month gone? So much has happened since we had the baby. Right before Jonathan was born Daniel got his Kindergarten shots and is all signed up, ready to go. do you love the picture how he is so happy. He passed the eye and ear test, and is waiting for the Dr. to come in. How the expression had changed as soon as he saw the nurse come in with the shots. I will say, he was a trooper... BRAVE was the word for the day. By the way Mom, sorry for ALL of those times I screamed and was afraid of the doctor :) That appointment made me realize what you went thru...love ya!
Happy boy....before the SHOTS!

Of course we had a new baby.

Alleeda got a new brother!

Look how excited they all are...another BOY!

Sweet biggest brother.

A little over a week after Jonathan was born, Daniel turned five! He was so excited to have a birthday party...I am so lucky pizza and store bought cakes were invented, especially with a very little baby...and the fun we had. I threw together a Backyardagains Party for him invited a few friends and as Daniel said..."It was the Best Birthday EVER." I tend to disagree, but it did come together nice and easy, and the kids had a blast!

After DAILY billyruben tests and formula feeding (off and on) for a couple of weeks, the doctor concluded that Jonathan has Breastmilk Jaundice. Which apparently goes away on its own time, around one month. At our appointment the other day he looked REALLY good! Only slightly yellow, if at all on his body...I was concerned about his face but the doctor assured me it was the last thing to clear up. Looking better today! Hopefully our final blood test will be on Monday! So the pictures of his first four weeks of life will be fun to look at...YELLOW BABY.

Perfectly Pink...just born

My Yellow BABY...before the Hospital

Then about a week after...still yellow

Notice him lightening up :)

He is one month in a few days, I will post a picture and hopefully he will be all Cleared Up. Daniel also started T-Ball the day I delivered the baby...you know contractions were strong and close, but we had to do T-Ball, Daniel was SO excited! Today was his last game. I have a few pics, but at last the baby woke up to eat, so I will post tommorow on t-ball & playdough you can eat. Have a great night....or should I say morning, allready!

You are ready to give birth when:

* Your thoughtful doctor reminds you how low the baby has dropped and uncomfortable you must be...week after week.

* You use your feet as tools for picking up things off the floor.

* Your two year-old watches for the moment you sit down, only to create destruction of some kind in-front of you...knowing it will take you a while to get back up.

* You are at a friends house and your three children high-tail it down the street with three of their friends and you JUST STAND THERE (speechless), knowing you can never catch them.

* For comfort you choose to stand, and risk the chance of swollen feet, instead of sitting.

* Your husband, who is never cold or under covers, is bundled up asleep in bed while you lay there out of the covers with the AC down low and the fan on high, still awake watching HGTV.

* The doctor informs you that there is no need to induce, just keep waiting.

* Your husband has just picked up all the toys in the hall that you couldn't grab with your toes.

* Your 4 year old says, "mom why are your feet so fat?"

* You foolishly decide to steam clean the carpets, the baby is coming anyway...and then you can barely move all night.

* You, in your mind, can rationalize inducing, because it is YOUR money that you are giving them to take the baby out! Too bad they don't care.

* You attend an all day confrence for Women to have EVERYONE you know, tell you how CRAZY you are for coming.....poor pregnant woman.

* Your sisters make a spectator sport, at the Womens Confrence, of watching your feet get bigger and bigger through the day.

Really I have enjoyed this pregnacy! It has been pretty good. I am at the end and like all pregnant ladies, am ready for the baby to come out! Oh well, it makes for interesting days. Like washing the sliding door today...Kevin got a good laugh.

I guess we should really think of a name for this little one! He is due to come soon :)

Stayin Sane...Barely!

This blog is good, if not for any other reason then to feel like I am talking to someone who wants to listen, especially on those days where you think no one has heard a word you said....the kids.

This has been a CRAZY week! I think the kids are all on the road to happiness again, feeling pretty good, still extra cranky but over all feeling better. Now Kevin on the other hand is just getting sicker not better. I don't think you realize how much your husband helps out until he is completly out of comission. A blessing tonight and hopefully some more rest will help. Another doctor visit might be in order, especially coming from the man who never complains. This week has been especially hard, again I am way too pregnant to move at lightspeed and I am getting no rest. As they always say, this to shall pass! Sooner then later would be BETTER :)

It is funny watching the kids run a muck of the house, I swear every rule we have they have broken today....they must know, dad is too sick to get up and mom is slower than us, ha ha ha ha ... Can't you just see it! It is kind of funny, NOT REALLY, but kind of.

Watch out grandma, I keep telling Kevin if he gets any sicker we are transporting ourselves to your house this week, where you can take care of Kevin and let him rest quietly and I can take the kids to play somewhere else. Lets hope he gets well soon, or I think all sanity will be gone for good :)

Staying Busy

After having everyone home sick, I am excited to have gotten a nap in today while everyone was sleeping, so I can stay up tonight and take a needed break from everything. Putting together this slideshow has definatley allowed me to appreciate my family and my kids even more! Even when they seem to drive me crazy....that is the 9 months pregnant thing or sick kids for almost a week thing talking :)

As I have not been so great at writing this past month, here are some pics of what we've been up to since Valentines Day. Kevin took a Saturday off in Feburary and we went to the Kern County Museum. The kids love that place! They loved playing pioneers crossing the plains in their covered wagon, dressed up and all! We planted lettuce in the garden. We went to the park one Saturday for dinner, and flew kites with the kids, it was so windy the kites blew themselves, great for the kids. "Just grandma" came to visit on the train. The kids played Egg Hunt & Pirates out back, many times. We went to the Gage Easter Egg Hunt at our cousins! The kids had a blast. We went to visit grandma over part of Spring Break, they did not want to leave. We managed to decorate eggs & have a good Easter morning, despite all the high fevers, and crying. Just click the link below, to go to a slideshow...turn up the volume and enjoy...we'll give this a try. And remember to enjoy your kids :) I sure do.

Wish Grandma Lived Closer

It has been so tempting to contemplate moving closer to home latley, especially being very pregnant and having all three kids sick and miserable kids at the same time. All with the same virus, affecting each child differently. Not having enough arms to hold each child while they cry and wine is frustrating, so for that it would be so nice to live closer to grandma! When she came to visit a month ago, the kids fought over who would sit by her at the table, or on the couch. It is neat to see the love they have for grandma! We love you grandma, but it is good you are not too close, for you might catch our nasty germs! Did I mention Kevin came home sick today too.
These cute pics are when grandma rode the train down to visit for a night. I told the kids nothing about the visit, we just went to the library downtown next to the train station. We read some books and when we heard the trains whistle blow I told the kids we should go watch the trains... when the train stopped it was cute they kept asking who rides the trains, and then that is when Matthew noticed grandma. That was a very fun surprise for them.
