My big HELPER!
I was driving home from Target today...diapers again?!....and as I turned the rather large corner, maybe a bit faster than normal I hear a boom, boom, boom...loud crying and Matthew screaming.."JONATHAN, BABY JONATHAN, BABY JONATHAN", the bus behind me must have been frustrated as I slowed WAY down in the street, after turning my head back to see what the noise was all about. Apparently Matthew thought he was helping, when we got to Target today, as he unbuckled the baby. Little did I realize that he had UNBUCKLED the base of the Car Seat; until I stopped the car to find the baby, the car seat and the base all flipped upside down in the car. Jonathan went for a safe little ride...and so cute when I flipped him back over, smiling and laughing at me...probably thinking, 'what's all the fuss mom, I am still buckled in'. It was reassuring to see that if a carseat flips a couple of times at 40mph that the baby...even though scared, still comes out smiling. (I know too many personal friends go through major accidents so hopefully that is all the flips or testing of a carseat we will ever go through.) When we got home from getting Alleeda from school today I actually saw Matthew unbuckle Jonathan's carseat, my little culpriet, I mean my BIG HELPER!

Flag Football
The other day the kids were out back playing. I was doing dishes in the kitchen, watching them out the window, and was continually going outside to explain to the boys that Alleeda does NOT like to be tackled. I kept hearing the same answer over and over..."but mom that is how your supposed to play football"...that is when I remembered the bag of Flag Football equiptment in the garage, from our days in YM and YW with church, as soon as Kevin got home from work and dinner was over, we tought them how we are going to be playing football at our house when Alleeda wants to play. They had so much fun. It ended up being a game of who can get the most flags off of anyone...ball or no ball. We had a lot of fun...simple pleasures! If you play football with our family a quick warning...Matthew still LOVES to tackle...ball or no ball.

Still unpacking
I should be unpacking more boxes, so I can get the car in the garage...or finishing unpacking my room, as there are half opened boxes of clothes everywhere, but since Kevin hooked up the computer this morning, I have been sitting here for over an hour, checking out all that I have missed. As I was blog surfing I realized, while looking at my sisters blog, that it has been 4 weeks since I last wrote. Man where does the time go? The kids are growing so fast, Alleeda is 4, Matthew just grew a few more inches, Daniel is loving school and Jonathan was 19lbs 9 oz at his 4 month check up (Such a BIG boy). Kevin started his own company two weeks ago, and I am still trying to unpack (ha, ha) the never ending job...with 4 small kids and life happening. It is SO good to be back home. It is so nice to have family so close! So much to talk about and lots of pictures! So I will make a point to sit down tommorow and put in a new post...until then goodnight!

Give me a BITE
So tonight, I ran down to the Forks and grabbed my mom and I a famous Forks Burger. We were at the counter talking, I pulled out my burger and began to eat. Jonathan was still in his carseat playing and making noises, about four bites into my hamburger Jonathan started to cry. I looked over at him and began to talk to him, his eyes stayed directly on the burger, he followed my hand holding the burger, I took another bite and he cried again. My mom said, " he wants a bite" I looked over at Jonathan and moved the burger to his mouth jokingly saying, "do you want a bite" as I got closer he opened his mouth bigger and moved his head forward. I quickly took it away as he was trying to have a bite, and of course he started crying again. It was so funny. I pulled out the rice cereal (that we tried a few nights ago) and he was happy to enjoy dinner too. I have some fun pics that I will post as soon as we move into our house. Right now we are enjoying lots of swimming and smiles at grandmas.
